Competitors will perform a choreography from an old swing video between 1.30 to 4 minutes and reproduce it on stage with a big screen behind simultaneously showing the original footage! All types of dances from the 20’s ­to the 40’s era are allowed to be performed (charleston, lindy hop, balboa, tap, cake walk…) The participants will be judged on their capacity to look as close as possible to the video.

This division is for a team of 6 or more people performing a choreographed jazz/charleston routine but in the style of a Chorus Line which means to emphasize symmetry and synchronisation. Duration : between 2 and 3 minutes. Open to all levels.

This new division will happen in 2 rounds, a prelim round and a final round. It will be a spotlight format where 5 teams will take turns performing 2 times through a chorus(16X8) on the same music. Any type of swing dance is allowed, aerials and dips are allowed.

This is a solo dance contest in open level. Competitors will be judged on their performance in Charleston and Authentic jazz. Prelims will be in different heats. Then the top 8 contestants will be selected to the final. The Final will be in the classic spotlight format for each finalist.

Advanced level : For the dancers who are used to competing. All Participants that have been in open final at Savoy Cup 2019 should be in this division.

As its name suggests, different cities will battle each other dancing to mainly fast tempo songs. The number of participants is not limited, but it is recommended to be a minimum of 10 to have a chance to match the other teams. Each battle will be in 2 rounds where each team will take turns and perform a chorus(16X8) twice per round (So 4 chorus per battle per team). The first round will be at a tempo of 210bpm and the second round at a tempo of 220-230bpm. No holds barred which means props, costumes, anything goes… And all types of dance (Swing dance, tap, etc…) are allowed. The format of this competition is by Knockout Phase.

This is a social dance competition. This division is for those who wants to test their skills as a leader or follower. You will dance with different random partners to several songs and different tempos, but will be judged as individuals in the preliminary rounds, and semi­final round in the classic heat format. Dancers that will make it to the finals will be randomly assigned a partner, dance with this partner during the final and will be judged as a couple as they dance in a spotlight format. Open level : For newer competitors, open for everybody.
